Duties:The Business Manager will support the mission of Otis Library by performing confidential and responsible administrative work in the financial operations of the Library. This includes, but is not limited to: * Day-to-day banking activities of the Library, including but not limited to, petty cash, deposits, and credit card accounts * Maintaining all accounting records and financial statements of the Library; ensuring accuracy of all records and statements * Performing all activities necessary to process payroll and retirement, including maintaining time cards and related records, filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, and processing involuntary deductions, such as levies and garnishments * Analyzing fiscal and administrative policies and suggesting effective recommendations For a full list of responsibilities, please view the job description on our website at otislibrarynorwich.org/job-openings Reasonable accommodations will be made for disabled persons, covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act, in accordance with its requirements.
Experience Required:The skills and knowledge required for this position generally would be acquired with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and three to five years in progressively responsible positions involving accounting or budgeting. A combination of other education and applicable experience may be considered.
